Races

**For races where we stay overnight (Paul Smith’s and Holderness), you are expected to race both days. If you are only interested in racing on one weekend day, you are responsible for your own transportation.**

Notes about racing:

• Racing is optional. You choose which race weekends you want to sign up for. 

• USCSA is very welcoming to people of all experiences, so it is awesome to have new skiers trying out racing! BUT you need to be registered and have your academic eligibility done.

  • If you only want to race in the super fun and silly UVM home race, you can sign up without being registered with USCSA

• Signups for each weekend are released in the weekly emails the Sunday before and due by Wednesday evening at 5pm. 

• Race Waxing will happen on Friday evenings before leaving (for away weekends). There will be signup sheets to reserve a time slot. 

Things to have at school for Race Season:

• sleeping bag/sleeping pad

• travel bag to pack for race weekends 

• *underclassman* food to eat in your dorm before dining halls open for early morning departures
